Michelle and Simon were always going to get married in Bowral. There may have been a few doubts in the beginning, with the plan undergoing a series of relocations including a change for second-choice Sydney, but fate would always lead them back here. In the end I’m stoked they made it, because Bowral is something special, and these two were made for it.
There’s so much that goes into a wedding that it’s easy for a bride and groom to get caught up in the
stress action of all that preparation unfolding into a reality on the day. Not Michelle and Simon; these were two of the most chilled people around, never a stutter or a hurry-up when things started to move at a running pace. Even when a bit of freestyling was needed to get us into a last-minute location choice for the formal bridal photos, Simon casually took his phone out and made the call, and the kind folks at Capernwray Lodge welcomed us with full hospitality at their incredible grounds. Ain’t no thang.
I had a total blast at this wedding. Full of fun-loving people at a stunning location having a great time together, it was exactly how a wedding should be. From the intimate church ceremony at St Stephens Anglican to the action-packed dancefloor at Briars Country Lodge, it was obvious to see why Michelle and Simon were so set on a Bowral wedding in the first place. It was never going to be anywhere else. Congrats Michelle and Simon!
