Louise & Shayne’s Merribee House Wedding Photography | South Coast
It’s April and 2015 is finally starting to settle into a rhythm. It’s been a crazy few months but I’m excited to have a chance to get up to speed with blogging some amazing weddings from the tail-end of last year. What better way to start than with Louise and Shayne and their Merribee House wedding, because this day was unreal.
Louise and Shayne’s Merribee House wedding day was straight out of a fairytale. Nestled on the South Coast and three hours drive from Sydney, Merribee House is a picturesque accommodation with landscaped gardens, a large silo-turned-suite, and an expansive horizon with some of NSW’s most vibrant country life attracting your visual field. In other words, it’s pretty darn amazing. Louise and Shayne got hitched at Merribee House and, for many reasons, it was a wedding that I won’t soon forget. Theirs was a downright epic celebration; a fiesta with the homely vibe of a summer backyard BBQ, in one of the best backyards around!
The perfect wedding doesn’t just rely on the location, though. It relies on the folks that you share it with, and more importantly the emotional bond they share with you. Louise and Shayne were surrounded by ecstatic family and friends, all playing a part in launching something extraordinary into the stratosphere. For these two newlyweds it was all the same. There may have been a few early morning jitters, but when all said and done the affection Louise and Shayne have for each other and their family existed well beyond the frame of each photograph. It made my job all too easy.
I had way too much fun at this wedding. I won’t mention how we got lost at 2a.m. on the drive down, or how we may or may not have startled a few guests in the early hours of the morning with our smartphone flashlights. Instead I’ll finish off by saying that it was a pleasure hanging out with Louise, Shayne and their guests for what ended up being an incredible day. I mean, how many other bridal parties would cheerfully agree to compete at tennis in full wedding attire? Epic.
P.S. shout outs to Armand who came along for the ride and took some great photos along the way.
